Meghan Patrick, Cranberries, Camila Cabello All Chart Toppers In Past Week

The Jan. 15 death of Cranberry Dolores O’Riordan reignited the band's back catalogue, Fifth Harmony singer Camila Cabello has a No. 1 hit with her solo debut, and Meghan Patrick packs a wallop with her latest Warner Canada album.

Camila Cabello’s Camila debut solo album comes in at No. 1 in its first week on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart with 12,000 total consumption units, achieving the highest sales total in the week with 5,200 units sold and the top audio-on-demand stream total with 7.2 million.


Cabello’s previous chart peak at 3 was as part of Fifth Harmony on their sophomore album 7/27. The lead single from Camila, “Havana,” returns to the top of the Streaming Songs chart for the first time since the end of November.

Ed Sheeran’s Divide, Eminem’s Revival, The Greatest Showman soundtrack, and G-Eazy’s Beautiful & Damned all fall one spot to Nos. 2 through 5 respectively.

Other debuts in the top 50 include Hollywood rock outfit Black Veil Brides’ Vale at 13, the 2018 Grammy Nominees compilation at 20, 2017 CCMA twin-winning Meghan Patrick’s Country Music Made Me Do It at 31 and Joe Satriani’s What Happens Next at 45.

Following the death of lead singer Dolores O’Riordan on January 15th, the catalogue of The Cranberries immediately posted massive sales and streaming increases.

Their Best Of…/20th Century Masters release enters at 9 while another hits collection, Gold, comes in at 56. Their last release, 2017’s Something Else, re-enters at 108. The band’s album catalogue has increased over 4300%, their song catalogue soared over 3000%, and their on-demand streams took a whopping 1000% gain over the previous week.

Jade Eagleson, The Reklaws Lead CMAOntario Nominations in 2024

The Country Music Association of Ontario has announced the nominations for its 12th annual CMAOntario Awards, with Jade Eagleson racking up five nominations. The awards will be presented on June 2 at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga.

Jade Eagleson is poised to win big at the CMAOntario Awards, presented by the Country Music Association of Ontario.

The "Rodeo Queen" singer picked up five awards nominations today, including Single of the Year, Album/EP of the Year, and Male Artist of the Year — the most nominations of any artist. Eagleson is followed by sibling duo The Reklaws, rising artists Josh Ross and Karli June, and mainstay Meghan Patrick, who all have four nominations each.
