The veteran music industry decision-maker is named VP as well as Head of Nielsen Music Canada, and in his elevated position, will oversee all commercial operations for the data and measurement company in the market.

Paul Shaver is named VP as well as Head of Nielsen Music Canada, and in this expanded role he will focus on leading the radio business and product developments in the market.


Shaver joined the company in May 2016 with more than 20 years experience in the music industry, as well as a reputation for strong leadership, marketing prowess, and digital expertise in Canada and abroad.

Before joining Nielsen, he held leadership roles at HMV Canada, Virgin Music Canada and EMI, where he served as VP Marketing & Promotion.

Following Universal’s acquisition of EMI in 2012, he was also VP Marketing at Universal Music.

He then joined Open Road Recording & RGK Entertainment Group as GM/SVP.

Additionally, Scott Musgrave has joined Nielsen Music as its US Head of Radio Client Solutions where he will focus on further developing the radio business for the firm. Musgrave previously spent 17 years at Arbitron, serving nine years as VP Sales/SVP General Manager of the radio station business.

Kid Cudi Cancels Insano World Tour After Breaking Foot: ‘The Injury Is Much More Serious Than I Thought’

Cudder was slated to hit the road in June on a tour that included three big Canadian dates.

Kid Cudi is canceling his upcoming Insano World Tour {which included stops in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal) due to an injury suffered while performing at Coachella over the weekend.

Cudi relayed the news to his fans in a heartfelt note on Wednesday (April 24), in which he revealed that he actually broke his calcaneus — the bone that forms at the heel — in the stage fall.
