Next Monday night hundreds of artists and music industry pros will celebrate the season at the annual Unison Holiday Schmoozefest at Spice Route Asian Bistro + Bar. Now in its third year, the night is well established as the Toronto scene's very best seasonal schmooze.
The theme of the night is charity, and past years have raised over $20,000 for Unison Fund, but this evening of giving goes both ways with tens of thousands of dollars in prizes up for grabs! A few highlights from this year include: Platinum Seats to the Next Century Game: Leafs vs. Hurricanes, VIP passes to Boots & Hearts, a Yamaha A-Series A3M Acoustic Guitar and an iPad.
DJ Brendan Canning (Broken Social Scene) will be back spinning the tunes, and there will also be another special guest in attendance this year: Paul Mason is the Toronto original whose elegant, modern twist on Old Saint Nick became a viral sensation.
All proceeds from ticket sales support the work of the Unison Benevolent Fund to provide counselling and assistance to music makers in times of crisis.
Tickets are $30 are available online or at the door.
Tickets include complimentary hors-d'oeuvres and a cash bar.
