The Tenors Return With A Million Dollar's Worth Of Production Credits

Multi-platinum Canadian vocal group The Tenors are gearing up for the international release of their fifth studio album, Christmas Together and it ain't your usual same-old same-old.

The 10-track package comes out on Oct. 13 through Universal Music Canada (UMC), and Decca Records/Verve Label Group in the the US. And the credits are pure platinum in an evergreen genre.

Canada's Tenors' Yuletide release is supported by a glamorous, big-production 16-city North American tour beginning Nov. 18 in LA., with a buck from every ticket sale on the eight Canadian shows going to MusiCounts, Canada's music education charity.

Christmas Together comprises a mix of holiday classics, contemporary favourites and original songs given inspirational new adaptations that include an a cappella rendition of “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” featuring Canada's mega-selling wee Scotsman, Johnny Reid.

The lads also flex their songwriting muscles with “When We Are Together” and a new single “Santa’s Wish,” inspired by and written around the classic jingle “I’d Like To Teach The World To Sing."

Not to be lost is the diamond-studded credit-roll collaborating behind the Buck-Palace faves, including producers Bob Ezrin (Kiss, Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper), Grammy-winning Keith Thomas (Blake Shelton, Amy Grant, Gladys Knight), and Grammy and Oscar-winning orchestrator Jorge Calandrelli (Tony Bennett, Michael Bublé, Plácido Domingo).

Christmas Together is the sophomore Christmas album from The Tenors that is the sequel to the ensemble's 2009 triple-platinum first Christmas album, The Perfect Gift.

Following the much-publicised departure of Remigio Pereira last year, The Tenors now comprise Victor Micallef, Clifton Murray and Fraser Walters.  Christmas Together is the first album as a trio.

In a label press release, the lads state that "the three of us have been performing at Christmastime since we were kids–from church choirs to community concerts, carolling around the neighbourhood or belting out songs in our living room with our families around the Christmas tree. We wanted to relive those magical childhood memories and bring our fans along for this nostalgic journey.”

"A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to You," is our rejoinder!
