The Canadian Independent Music Association (CIMA) has opened submissions for the Invictus Games Showcase and is looking for two or three emerging level Canadian acts to perform.
Applications are now open and will close Friday, Sept. 8. The selected artists will be notified by Monday, Sept. 11.
The Invictus Games Council will be selecting the artists/bands, and the successful applicants will be contacted about payment on or after Sept. 11. The offer is open to both its members and non-members.
The Invictus Games is a sporting competition multi-sport event, created by Prince Harry, in which wounded, injured or sick armed services personnel and veterans take part in sports including wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball, and indoor rowing.
This year the games are being held in various Toronto venues from Sept. 23-30.
Additionally, there are two big ticket concerts staged at the opening and closing ceremonies at the ACC that Bell Media will be filming for later broadcast. Details can be found here.
